School for talented and gifted

Akademeia High School is a private high school, based in Warsaw. We offer a multidimensional education system and extensive preparation for admission applications to prestigious foreign universities.

Akademeia has been joining Poland with the best universities in the world for nearly 10 years

Our graduates study or have studied at prestigious foreign universities. Expanding upon our rich experience in education consulting, we have founded a three-year private high school beginning operations in the academic year 2016/17.

Akademeia High School classes are conducted exclusively in English. The three-year curriculum concludes with the English Baccalaureate, the A Level examinations.

We are an accredited UCAS centre and Edexcel (Pearson) and AQA examination centre for the English GCE Advanced Levels.

We have also prepared a special intensive SAT/ACT exam course for students who are interested in applying to American universities.

  • Diagnosing student potential
  • Teachers
  • Multidimensional education
  • We believe that the learning process should begin with a set of diagnostic exercises that help us to understand not just a student’s knowledge in academic subjects, but also their skills and natural abilities. As a result of this process, we are then able to match a student with an educational program that will meet their needs and potential.

Tamam Shud in Centrum Sztuki Współczesnej

Visual Culture is one of the subjects included in our core curriculum for the 1st year of study. It is all about making connections between art – literature – history – history of art – religion.

That’s why, our students went to see the exhibition Tamam Shud (An artist’s novel by Alex Cecchetti in chapters) organized by Centrum Sztuki Współczesnej Zamek Ujazdowski and spoke with one of the exhibition’s curators: David Maroto, an artist who is involved in running the research project The Book Lovers Project.

The Book Lovers is a research project on the phenomenon of artists’ novels curated by David Maroto and Joanna Zielinska. The central question of this research is how a literary genre such as the novel becomes a medium in the visual arts, exactly as video or installation could be.” (The Book Lovers Project)

Akademeia Inside Out – orchestrating the landscape of sounds

Every Wednesday we have so-called Art Lab – workshops for all students interested in Art & Design. Today we had a very special guest: Victor Yañez-Lazcano who is an artist, photographer, educator and blogger. He is a graduate from Columbia College Chicago (BA of Fine Arts), currently completing MFA of Art at Stanford University.

Todays workshop “Akademeia Inside Out – orchestrating the landscape of sounds” sought to actively engage students in close listening.  The students were asked to listen and identify sounds that are specific to both the inside and outside of the new building. Their task was to identify and recontextualize sounds specific to their surroundings.
