A Level results 2021
Akademeia High School is celebrating outstanding A Level results with 91% of A*- A grades and exceptional 63% of A* grades. These results of our third graduating cohort are well above the UK national average of 44,8% and on a par with the top 10 independent schools in the UK. Special mention must go to Maciej and Krzysztof who have achieved tremendous results of five A* in five A Level subjects.
Our graduates have been successful in obtaining offers from the renowned universities around the world. These include Columbia University, New York University, and Duke University in the US; University of Amsterdam, Bocconi University, and Sciences Po in Europe; and University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, University College London, Imperial College London, London School of Economics, St Andrews University, and University of Bath in the UK.
The great range of university degrees, which our graduates will follow is equally impressive: from mechanical, aerospace, and biomedical engineering, through history and politics, geography, and economics to fine art, textile design, architecture, and history of art. The breadth and variety of these degree courses demonstrates that each student at Akademeia High School can pursue their individual interests and fulfil their potential.
The School warmly congratulates all Year 13 students for their extraordinary success. We would like to extend our thanks and congratulations to their teachers, parents and all in our school community who have made these successes possible, especially in the unprecedented pandemic conditions.
Dr Karolina Watras, Headmaster of AHS, commented: “We are immensely proud of our students and I wholeheartedly congratulate them on their tremendous achievement. This year’s graduates have shown great resilience and determination. The exceptional A Level results and outstanding university destinations are the result of our students’ hard work and skill as well as the entire school community’s team effort to preserve a supportive and encouraging environment through prolonged periods of remote learning and exam disruptions. The fantastic range and variety of the undergraduate courses that our students will follow also reflects that young people can truly flourish in Akademeia High School, and find the best pathway to further develop their talents and passions. We all wish our leaving cohort the very best for their future.”
