Student's professional experience
Akademeia Internship Scheme

About Akademeia Internship Scheme

Traditionally, internships are perceived as opportunities for college students, however they can be great for high school students as well, as they give young people a jumpstart when it comes to personal and professional development.

Akademeia High School supports students with short-term internships opportunities through the annual Internship Competition and individual internship placements based on student’s interests and needs.

We believe that completing an internship can be a very important aspect of broadening perspectives, getting to know ones’ strengths and weaknesses in a work environment, gaining first-hand experience about various careers and building a portfolio, so important for university application and future employers.

Students' testimonials:

Intern at Polish Economic Institute:

Just getting into this internship required much effort and commitment. Being interviewed by a professional in the field of economics was a challenge that allowed me to open up and use the acquired academic knowledge along with personal skills after a long period of the pandemic. This also provided me with valuable insight into how my future job application will look like.

Intern at Nencki Institute:

I’ve learned a lot during this internship; not only I expanded my knowledge of brain functioning, but I also could see how a researcher’s work looks like and what their responsibilities are. I could observe the whole process from planning an experiment through conducting it and analysing the data to writing a paper about it.

Intern at Unilogo Robotics:

Given my interest for automation engineering, I think that the experience has benefited me in many ways, specifically as I was able to look at a complex system consisting of many robots and analyze how it is controlled. I also think looking at different sensors allowed me to be more fluent with my own designs in terms of components I will use.

Intern at Oshee:

This experience has definitely prepared me further for my future university course IR since it showed me that IR and politics can also influence business and consumer behavior.

Intern at Gender Equality Observatory, Institute of Public Affairs:

The internship improved my time-management skills, as well as the skill of synthesising a main idea from a longer passage and communication in general. It also developed my creativity – finding images that would fit the interviews was often challenging, so I needed to come up with different ideas of how to visually diversify the website.

Intern at Herbapol:

I believe it was a great reality check for how actual work knowledge compares and differs from school knowledge. It was a very important and beneficial experience for me as I was able to experience how it actually feels to work.

Intelekt.us

Intelekt.us logo

Intelekt.us is on a mission to get rid of boring remote meetings. Think of the most mundane remote lectures that you had to attend or the pointless 2-hour meeting that could have been literally 1 email Agenda update shorter than a TikTok. We all have experienced it at least once, haven’t we? Guess what, the older we are, the more of those we encounter :/ However, it doesn’t have to be our fate.
That’s why intelekt.us exists! If the person running those meetings knows that everyone is falling asleep, eventually the speaker will figure out a better way to get things done and learn how to run exciting online meetings 🙂
Is it even possible? How come?
Just check this sick demo. Open it up on a desktop/laptop with Chrome (otherwise, it works like there’s no tomorrow)
https://dev.intellectusapp.com/demo/ So just invite friends through the meeting link, have fun and abuse the features!
In the middle of the conversation say words like ‘plan, agenda, Let’s do it, I’m pumped, believe, crazy’ and see if you can spot them on one of the graphs. This is just the beginning …

Can you help build this jaggernaut?
Distinguished engineers, if you would like to know what it takes to create production-ready AI software, you’re welcome to apply. Math, Science and prior knowledge of programming is preferred, not required. You will be exposed to the entire process from whiteboarding solution architecture, thorough testing, up to product rollout to our clients.
@ “I’ll call for pen and ink and write my mind” W.Sh.
That’s right. Once you create engineering Marvell, it takes great effort to let the world know about its existance. It is not a coincidence that you always know about the latest and greatest iPhone feature moments after announcement. The unspoken secret of Big Tech is that all FAANG brands have these magicians, so called ‘product evangelists’ who blog, vlog, write, and shout to tell the world about their products. This is why they get broad global adoption. Our pro PR and Marketing team will teach you how to launch a new product, write commercial reviews, and create social media content. If you’ve ever created a blog or social media campaign, this will be incredibly helpful.

Looking forward to meeting you during interviews and learning about your side gigs, hobbies, interests, future plans!
