Charity Concert at Akademeia High School

We extend an invitation to a charity concert of the famous American violinist, Elizabeth Pitcairn, at which we will hear the incredible sound of 1720-made, legendary Stradivarius violin known as the Red Mendelssohn.

Elizabeth Pitcairn will perform with professor Louise Thomas, a pianist from Chapman University in Southern California.

On 16 June 2018, at our high school, we will host an exceptional concert of both artists, to which you are warmly invited.

All proceeds from the concert will be designated for a scholarship to an international summer school of music at Luzerne Music Center (LMC) in the US for a young Polish virtuoso, who will be selected from among participants of “The Red Stradivarius“ Music Competition.

The concept of summer school is to enable musically talented children from all over the world to improve their skills under the guidance of outstanding musicians, among others from the famous Philadelphia Orchestra and the New York Ballet, in unique environment by the lake of Luzerne in New York State.
