In December, as part of extracurricular classes, a group of students participated in 3D design and printing course.

The course was conducted by Michał Lisowski and Mateusz Przystał of Artful Dodgers Design.

3D printing of your own designs mainly requires 3D modelling skills. Not only does it allow to verify design errors, but also their correction and adapting to adequate technologies, in which the product will eventually be made. A possibility to transfer the design to a real, tangible world, allows its rediscovery and testing its true potential.

An important element of work for every designer should be a method of quick prototyping, as it gives an opportunity to verify the design. 3D printing is exactly such method, however its use must be supported with knowledge of materials and the technology – what it is and how to use it.
