During our first ever, seven-day long, Arts Festival we celebrated the creative and performing arts at Akademeia. The list of key events was exciting, long and included:
• Mask Creation Workshop with Ms Iga Górniak (9th June)
• Meeting with Mr Artur Liebhart – Director of the Millennium Docs Against Gravity Film Festival and screening of his favourite movie from this year’s festival titled ‘Minding the Gap’, followed by Q&A session (9th June)
• Students’ Art Exhibition in Galeria Tlen in Wilanów, presenting projects in mixed mediums, prepared in the past two years: ceramics, paintings, photographs, textiles (10th-12th June)
• Annual School Musical – a showcase of the AHS musical theatre talents (13th June)
• Art Industry Panel with an open panel discussion about creative career prospects (14th June)
• International Culture Day, celebrating international community of AHS (15th June)
Every day we enjoyed the Poetry Reading and Musical Performances during lunch time. We also watched two theatre shows, written and directed by our students.
