Dr Karolina Watras and Marcin Szala, Deputy Heads at Akademeia High School, attended the conference “Creating the conditions for success” organized by Cambridge International.
The Cambridge Schools Conferences are an opportunity for teachers and school leaders from different countries and contexts to share knowledge and discuss common challenges in education. There are three conferences every year, each in a different location around the world.
Dr Karolina Watras and Marcin Szala joined the conference “Creating the conditions for success” in Cambridge which explored how school leaders and teachers can create the right conditions for success – starting in the classroom and achieving impact across the whole school.
The conference explored how teachers can deliver the best conditions for teaching in their classrooms, reflecting on cognitive, neurological and psychological learning factors, and what this means when establishing a learning environment. As every year, expert guest speakers provided insight into specific areas of the theme. The greatest value of these conferences however, is the opportunity for the whole community to be together, share ideas, perspectives and make contacts.
