Zofia Szewczyk, one of the prize winners of our Art & Design competition and our Year 11th student to be, sent us word & a few photos after attending Drawing/Making/Prototyping Short Summer Course at the Bartlett School of Architecture.
Zosia has been offered a scholarship place at this course by the Bartlett itself and what’s more .. after completing the course, she received an honourable mention for her work! Congratulations!
The title of Zosia’s work was “The revival of the stone from River Thames”
The main aim of her work was to free the stone from its weight and add some lightness, space and light …
Zosia transferred a flat model of the stone to a three-dimensional construction. The result of her work was a stone-inspired, light, airy and playing with light model.
