The ceremony of the end of the first completed school year took place on Friday 29th June at Akademeia High School. As Mark Moore, the Headmaster said in his opening speech:
“We want the pupils to respond to their surroundings by being independent learners, as they will be in future at university, and we want the school to be a perfect preparation for that. Next year will bring the first full set of A level results, more pupils and new staff members: we can look back on an extremely successful first year and look forward to great things to come next year. The pupils and staff have shown great enthusiasm and dedication I would like to thank them all for their unfailingly positive approach.”
The audience gathered at the school auditorium could admire the students’ work and academic achievements. We could listen to a few pieces performed by Akademeia High School Music Band and to a presentation of a start-up idea prepared during Entrepreneurship classes. The awards were handed to the best students, the most active in the charity projects or those who made the greatest progress.
