As is the case every week, Friday was an exceptional day: we hosted Jacek Cichocki. Our meeting concerned the migration crisis: are refugees and migrants a threat, or rather perhaps an opportunity for Europe?
The starting points were statistical data and facts, both historical (relating to, among others, the history of North Africa and the Middle East) as well as social and political issues relating to the contemporary world. As a result, our students were able to examine the problem from a broader perspective and develop their own opinions on the subject, based on factual material, not just reports presented by the media.
