This time, as part of the cycle of Friday events, our students watched “Pewnego razu w listopadzie” and hosted Adam Bajerski (cinematographer) and Rafał Wieczorek (visual effects specialist).
Pewnego razu w listopadzie (Once Upon a Time in November), a film by Andrzej Jakimowski, is a story of two Warsaw inhabitants, a mother and a son, who loose their flat as a result of eviction in November 2013.
Our guests were:
Adam Bajerski – a cinematographer, a graduate of the Faculty of Cinematography at PWSFTViT in Łódź (Lodz Film School) (1992). Director of Photography in numerous feature films, documentaries and commercials. A co-founder of Zjednoczenie Artystów i Rzemieślników (Associated Artists and Artisans) production company and the owner of Adam Production company.
He debuted with a multi-award-winning feature film Zmruż oczy (Squint Your Eyes) (2002 / together with Paweł Śmietanka), for which he was distinguished with an award for best cinematography at 28th FPFF (Polish Film Festival) in Gdynia, special award at MFF (International Film Festival) Camerimage in Łódź, Prowincjonalia Festival in Września, Andrzej Munk Award and Tarnowska Nagroda Filmowa (Tarnow Film Award). For his film Sztuczki (Tricks)(2007) he received a best cinematography award at 32nd FPFF in Gdynia and the best Polish film of 2007 award at MFF Camerimage.
Rafał Wieczorek – cameraman, visual effects specialist. Cameraman in such films as Hiszpanka (Influenz) (2015), Serce na dłoni (And a Warm Heart) (2008), Sztuczki (2007). Special effects specialist in films such as Pewnego razu w listopadzie (2017) or Sztuczki (2007).
