Our Year 12 students’ projects accepted to the E(x)plory Program

Kuba Wasilewski, Konstanty Radziwiłł and Krzysztof Dziardziel’s projects were selected for the E(x)plory Program!

E(x)plory is an unprecedented event for young people (aged between 13 and 20) who are passionate about science. It is a great feast of science from all around the world, where young scientists meet their colleagues who share the same interests and have an opportunity to share their ideas and projects to academics and scholars, business representatives and new technology creators.

This year, two projects by Akademeia’s students were accepted to the E(x)plory Program:

Kuba Wasilewski and Konstanty Radziwiłł (Y12)

Their project is based on the development of an application that helps people with colour blindness to distinguish colours. They plan to write an algorithm which allows to change saturation and brightness of colour enough to be recognised by a person with colour blindness.

Krzysztof Dziardziel (Y12)

It is an interdisciplinary project which covers organic chemistry, green chemistry and materials physics. It is based on the development and analysis of biodegradable polymers. The range of polymers of different composition will be synthesized by condensation polymerization and subsequent physical tests will be performed.

Now the students are working on their projects. The next step will be to present these projects in a poster format in spring.
