Some tips for students on how to live and work in confined space p. 3
by Dr Marta Dżoga, Head of Wellbeing Team, Akademeia High School
Learning from home can be challenging – how to keep calm, how to motivate yourself, how not to go crazy without going out. Below you will find the third part of useful tips. Read part 1. Read part 2.
Perceive the situation as temporal
You need to resign from some certain activities which you are used to but it will change. Continue doing things which you used to do (including changes e.g. online teaching, watching films at home, connecting with people via the internet).
Connect with others
Share your concerns and how are you feeling with a close friend.
Contact groups of people you used to via Teams, Messenger, WhatsApp etc. Keep the appropriate forms of messages: do not insult others, do not pour out your anger and frustration on others. Please remember that words can hurt.
Stay in touch with your colleagues who may need your help or attention.
Build a strong support system.
Arrange on-line learning with your friends
Attend live lessons.Turn on your camera.
Play interactive games, organise watching the same movies or virtual trips to museums. Talk about it with your friends.
Stay healthy
Stay home, avoid human gatherings
Follow hygiene rules: sneeze or cough into tissues or into your elbow, wash your hands with soap and water, use antibacterial fluids, try to avoid touching your mouth, eyes, and nose, which are places where germs can enter your body.
Get enough sleep
Eat well to help your body stay healthy.
Go for a walk, run, take the dog for a walk. Contact with nature and fresh air are very important for your health.
Attend AHS sport classes
You can try online yoga or meditation classes
Don’t forget about relax and free time. You have to recharge your batteries!

Akademeia recommendations for Easter break activities
We would like to share with you a variety of recommendations for the Easter break, which were inspired by both our teachers and students. They include reading lists, online opportunities and off-screen activities.
Message from the Akademeia Management Team to Parents and Guardians
Thank you all very much indeed for your support and your patience in these uncertain times. There is so much that we cannot yet know about the social and economic effects of the coronavirus pandemic that it is difficult for everyone, from governments to individuals, to plan ahead. However our strategy has been and remains to keep the school running as close to normal as possible via online teaching and learning.
