Visual Culture is one of the subjects included in our core curriculum for the 1st year of study. It is all about making connections between art – literature – history – history of art – religion.
That’s why, our students went to see the exhibition Tamam Shud (An artist’s novel by Alex Cecchetti in chapters) organized by Centrum Sztuki Współczesnej Zamek Ujazdowski and spoke with one of the exhibition’s curators: David Maroto, an artist who is involved in running the research project The Book Lovers Project.
“The Book Lovers is a research project on the phenomenon of artists’ novels curated by David Maroto and Joanna Zielinska. The central question of this research is how a literary genre such as the novel becomes a medium in the visual arts, exactly as video or installation could be.” (source: The Book Lovers Project)
