To celebrate the World Theatre Day (27 March) and our love for performative arts, Akademeia Drama Department has prepared our very first Theatre Week.
As part of our celebrations, we hosted some creative events throughout last week, including:
-puppet-building workshop,
-poetry recitals,
-theatre & book sale,
-Murder Mystery,
-photo booth,
-screenings of amazing productions by the National Theatre.
With the week’s watchword “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players” from a pastoral comedy by William Shakespeare – “As you like it”, we have reminded ourselves, that people have roles to play in life just as actors do in the theatre and we should fulfil ours the best way we can.
“The Theatre Week was a magical experience in which we were given the opportunity to dive in the world of artistry. It was well organised thanks to our incredible teachers, and it had a large variety of workshops and activities, suitable for everyone. I very much enjoyed the book and theatre items sale lead by us – the students, as well as the screening of One Man, Two Guvnors that took place in the Auditorium. “ Maja, Y11
