Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards

The Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards are a set of awards that recognise top-performing international students worldwide who achieved the highest mark for all levels of Pearson Edexcel qualifications. Pearson Edexcel is a provider of academic qualifications, working with schools, universities, and training institutions in over 85 countries. Pearson Edexcel qualifications are developed with input from British employers and entrepreneurs, in collaboration with 83 industry organisations, and are endorsed by the UK government. More than 200 universities worldwide recognise Pearson Edexcel.

It is a great joy for us that the students of our high school achieve such outstanding results and are awarded prestigious accolades like the Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards. Graduates with the best A-Level results in the world represent the culmination of the collaborative effort between our students and our academic staff. Our goal is always to identify and nurture each student’s strengths and guide them towards the field in which they can truly excel. Graduates with such remarkable achievements are eagerly welcomed by the best universities worldwide, which is a source of great pride for us. Once again, we congratulate the award winners and wish them further academic success. We are certain we will hear about you many more times in the future.

2025 Results

In 2025, 18 of our students earned 23 Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards in the May/June 2024 examination session, achieving both national and global distinctions. Our Headmaster Dr Watras and Ms Nicola Fox from Pearson proudly presented certificates and medals to honour our Pearson Learners. For those unable to attend, family members or former teachers graciously accepted the awards on their behalf.

2024 Results

In 2024, 12 of our students earned 15 Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards in the May/June 2023 examination session, achieving both national and global distinctions.

Three graduates were awarded for achieving the highest results in the world in the international British A-Level exams (Best in the World), which is an outstanding accomplishment. All three have gone on to study at the world’s top universities. The awards went to:

  • Juliusz K in Chemistry – currently studying at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, a scholarship recipient from Akademeia High School.
  • Mateusz K in Mathematics – currently studying at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.
  • Paulina G in Art History – currently studying at Brown University in the USA.

Additionally, two graduates were recognised for achieving the highest results in Poland in the international A-Level exams in Economics and Physics. They are now studying at the London School of Economics and Princeton University, respectively.

Seven students also achieved the highest results in Poland on international GCSE exams (taken after the first two years of high school), showcasing their exceptional achievements in various subjects, including Biology, History, Chemistry, Physics, and English, Spanish, and French languages.
