An enthusiastic group of the 5th Form students completed their first stage of the Animal Welfare PDS project – just in time for the cold winter. The students wished to improve the conditions of dogs living in the Animal Shelter in Józefów.
They managed to raise over 3000 PLN through various fundraising efforts and bought all the necessary supplies for the animals.
Recently, they visited the shelter and prepared the kennels for winter. They also made some new four-legged friends and learned more about the situation of homeless animals in Poland.
The project is not over yet! Next, they are set to ‘design a clever and effective animal campaign with a reach far beyond the school community.’
