Established in 2016, Akademeia High School is an independent, academically selective school in Warsaw, offering IGCSEs and A Levels alongside Akademeia Assessed Courses. With a rigorous admissions process and A Level classes taught in the form of undergraduate seminars; the school pursues a pre-university university model.

The majority of our students are preparing to study at Oxbridge, Russell group, and top universities across US and Europe. Our latest set of A Level results is comparable to the top 10 public schools in the UK, with 91% of A and A* grades. The school offers a robust scholarship programme, with 10% of places allocated to merit-based, partial and full scholarships. Together with Akademeia High School Foundation, the school also supports several educational outreach and community engagement initiatives.

Teachers belong to a vibrant academic community that is actively engaged in shaping the school’s ethos, informed by tradition but also inspired by new developments in education. The faculty offers academic enrichment courses to supplement IGCSE/A Level learning and students are taught in small sets allowing them to benefit from more personalised learning. We actively support the wellbeing of our teachers through a dedicated Wellbeing Team. We also aim to ensure that faculty members have the skills and knowledge to support the wellbeing of our students.

I have never worked in a school where the faculty was so excited about their own subjects. The teachers are interested and interesting. They have all got a story to tell. They pass on that excitement to the students.

~ Kingsley Wray, Mathematics Teacher

What I like about the school the most is the communication between teachers and students. It’s a friendly environment, and the teachers are very passionate about their subjects. It makes you want to learn.

~ Jan, Student, Year 11
