Guest Speaker

On Thursday 3rd February we invited a 17 year old high school student from Toruń to be a part of the Akademeia Seminars series and talk to our students about her experience as a young activist involved in the climate movement.
For the past 3 years Emilia Rygielska has been meeting with politicians and local policy-makers in order to pressure them to start taking the climate crisis seriously. She has been involved in various campaigns to empower youth to take control of their future through climate education in Poland.

Our guest is associated with the Fundacja Przyjaciół Młodzieżowego Strajku Klimatycznego, a part of the global Fridays for Future movement.
That was a great inspiration for all of us.
